Rolling Thunderz has highly developed expertise for improving the performance of Corvette cylinder heads, with the unique ability to provide custom cylinder head modification services specifically designed for the different types of cylinder heads available for the Corvette.

The following C5 Corvette Generation 3 Cylinder heads are all distinctive requiring different modifications for each type of head.

GM Generation 3 (1997-2004) Corvette LS1 heads

GM Generation 3 (2001-2004) Corvette LS6 heads

Dart 205 cc Heads (1997-2004 Corvettes)

Dart 225 cc Heads (1997-2004 Corvettes)

These different cylinder heads are designed with a variety of port configurations, chamber designs and valve diameters that require unique modifications to improve performance.

Rolling Thunderz cylinder head performance enhancements consist of professional porting modification services and a high technology valve job with stainless steel oversized intake valves and exhaust valves.

The GM LS1 & LS6 Heads use stainless steel 2.02" intake valves and 1.57 exhaust valves to help increase air flow and produce more power by improving engine efficiency.

The Dart LS1 Heads are available in two different intake port sizes with 205cc & 225cc volumes. The 205cc heads come with 2.02 intake valves and 1.60 exhaust valves and the 225cc heads are equipped with 2.05” intake valves.

This cylinder head system enhances engine efficiency and provides a valuable and cost effective performance improvement for Corvette enthusiasts who desire to have more power from a better breathing Corvette engine.

The Phase 1 cylinder head is also ideally suited for older Corvette engines and high mileage Corvettes that need to have the cylinder heads revitalized with the added benefits of having additional power and acceleration.

Rolling Thunderz Corvette Camshaft
Rolling Thunderz provides custom camshaft profiles that are designed for efficient performance increases for the C5 Corvette.

Rolling Thunderz custom camshafts are specifically designed for the intended application, with different camshaft profiles for mild street performance, street/strip performance, nitrous oxide injection, centrifugal superchargers, turbochargers and big stroker motor applications.

The Phase 1 Auto camshaft 209/217 .590 lift has a great power range from 1200 to 6700 with excellent drive ability.

The "Blackwing" Cold-Air Induction
A great way to improve performance for the C5 Corvette is to replace the restrictive stock air box with this easy-to-install Blackwing air filter assembly.

The Blackwing air filter assembly is one of the highest flowing air intake systems for the C5 Corvette which can out-flow the factory air intake unit by as much as 90%.

This unit mounts in place of the stock air box with easy installation and factory look. No cutting or modifying is required for the installation. The Blackwing also features a flow indicator that changes color when cleaning is required.

The Blackwing Cold-Air Induction System and C5 Smooth Bellows create a single, jointly engineered system that can increase airflow and provide power increases that range from 20 to 30 plus horsepower depending on the engine air flow requirements and level of engine modifications.

NOTE: 2001-2004 applications will require #21111 Bellows Kit.

Corvette Header System
The installation of exhaust tube headers can provide a significant increase in exhaust flow and improve engine efficiency. The key ingredient for superior performance in a Header is the shape of the collector, where four exhaust tubes merge into the collector pipe. A race header style 4 into 1 merge collector, significantly improves exhaust flow by allowing the exhaust gas to maintain velocity. Sustaining a high exhaust velocity is the key to allowing the exhaust system to create efficiency and thereby produce more power.

Corvette High Performance Exhaust
The installation of a high-flow exhaust system with larger diameter exhaust pipes and low restriction mufflers will improve the Corvette engine’s breathing capabilities and significantly increase power and performance. High flow Catalytic converters also help to flow more exhaust and produce more power.
