1984 Z28 Camaro – RT 479 CID BBC Engine 2010 OSCA Champion & Record Holder Quarter Mile: 7.7 ET & 188 MPH

Congratulations to Sergio Longo for winning the 2009 OSCA EZ Street Class Championship and for setting the OSCA EZ Street Class Elapsed Time Record with an amazing 7.75 second performance. Sergio’s goal for the 2009 racing season was to set the E.T record in the EZ Street Class competition and to win the EZ Street Class Championship, which is exactly what Sergio proceeded to do. He set the ET record and won the Championship.

Sergio started drag racing in the 1970’s where he established himself as one of the heavy weight players in the Toronto street scene. Now after a 10 year retirement from racing behind the wheel Sergio has climbed back on top with help from crew Chief Paul Scaralto, brother Aldo, nephew Nick and a 470 cid Rolling Thunderz built racing engine that accelerates Sergio Longo’s Z28 Camaro to record setting performances and it's these record setting performances that is what makes his race competitors wish that he stayed in retirement.

Sergio states that he plans to “Ruin the EZ Street Class” in 2009. We thought that he already did that in 2008 with the 1.13 second 60ft time and the 7.80 ET, but since he does not think that those performances are enough to ruin a class, we can hardly wait to see what he does with more Rolling Thunderz power in 2009.
